Utter disbelief

What have we done to ourselves?

Living life or so we think we are.

We’re living alright. However who are we living for?

Days go by, months go by, years go by, we’re nothing but carbon copies of those around us. Built ambition, shared discourses and what not.

We’re imitating, maybe for our own betterment. But why is that we’re losing our very essence in the process. We’re imitating the lives we aspire to live, we’re imitating and imitating till we lose ourselves.

We’re machines in the corporate world. A world we were desperate to explore and now?

Who’s to guide us? Who’s to tell us what’s wrong and right? Who’s to show us how to live?

Broken people, severing friendships, distorting truths and drinking the night away.

We’re lost souls looking for direction. Stories yet to be told.

We love the idea of Love and yet we’re scared of it. We’re looking for instant connections but no commitments. We’re so drunk on the idea that love would save us but we’re only willing to drift as far as the one touch. We’re scared and that’s how we blame love for it.

Isn’t love brave? Isn’t love appreciation? Sweet words are of no use darling, if you cannot stand up for love.

Perhaps we’re not brave enough?

Words.

You’re twisting the knife because you’re good with words. You have your way and you walk away. You’re cunning and you know that.

You’re the reason why I’m at a state of utter disbelief and disgust. You’re getting emotional benefits out of people around you and they give you that. Your smirk and make your way through his world.

Your words are powerful enough to make him mistrust others. Powerful enough to drive him to insanity. Powerful enough to make me think I’m not worth it.
